The Saudi Pro League has been one of the biggest movers in the summer transfer market, and clubs there still have a few days to finish their deals. Over £750 million has already been spent on players there.

Jordan Henderson and Fabinho joined teams in Saudi Arabia this summer, while Mohamed Salah’s £150 million bid for Liverpool was rejected on the final day of the Premier League transfer window by Al-Ittihad, a company whose principal owners are the country’s enormously wealthy Public Investment Fund.

The talented winger scored in the Reds’ 3-0 win against Aston Villa at home on Sunday to once again highlight his importance to Jurgen Klopp’s squad.

However, the Saudi Pro League window is still open, and even though Liverpool has been certain that Salah is not for sale, there is nothing stopping Al-Ittihad from making a bigger bid for Salah.

Despite manager Jurgen Klopp’s efforts to allay supporters’ worries, the BBC reports that Liverpool is “bracing” for new proposals.
