Transfers to Newcastle: Eddie Howe is compelled to reconsider when Tonali’s replacement responds firmly to winter rumors………

Despite rumors that Newcastle United is interested in Ruben Neves, the player has stated that he will not be playing in the Premier League again in January.

The 26-year-old, who made 253 appearances during his six seasons with Wolves, is well-known to English supporters. During five of those seasons, the Portugal international played in the Premier League, where he scored 21 goals for the West Midlanders. But in the summer transfer window, he made an unexpected move to join Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia; Wolves reportedly paid £47 million to sign him.

With 14 Saudi Pro League games under his belt thus far, the former Porto star has found success in the Middle Eastern country.

Nonetheless, he has been connected to a return to the English Premier League, with Newcastle United and Arsenal reportedly showing interest.

Sandro Tonali, one of Italy’s most intriguing talents, joined the Magpies during the summer.

However, due to his 10-month sentence for breaking Italian betting laws, they will be without his services for the remainder of 2023–2024.

Eddie Howe has had a long record of injuries and has recently struggled with production.

Furthermore, it seems that he plans to add more troops during the winter window.

Similar to Neves, Tonali is a flexible midfield player who can play a variety of positions.

It makes sense, then, that Howe would glance at the man who had been Molineux’s lord for so long.

However, it appears that door is closed, as the player himself put an end to rumors of a year-changing event.

He said, “I don’t go,” to BBC Sport. “I believe that’s just gossip, as I have played in England and the clubs’ owner knows that.”

“Before coming here, there was interest from Newcastle, but I’m really happy here, and my family is happy, so I’m having a great time.”
