The Tamp Buccaneers play the Green Bay Packers in a game that will have a significant impact on both teams’ chances of making the playoffs. The Bucs now sit atop the NFC South, although they are tied for first place with the New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons. The Packers, meanwhile, are presently leading a five-way tie for the last postseason position, sitting at the seventh seed. Which of these clubs advances to the postseason and which one stays at home could be determined by this game.

The Bucs will once again need to go without important members of their defense if they hope to pull off the upset. Defense tackle William Gholston and cornerback Carlton Davis had already been ruled out, and Vita Vea and Ryan Neal were labeled as questionable and game-time choices. Thankfully, Vea will face the Packers, which is a significant matchup.

The Bucs will welcome back Jamel Dean this week, but that won’t be enough to overcome some of the other ailments they have. Logan Hall, Greg Gaines, and youngster Calijah Kancey, all of whom performed well against the Falcons last week, will all need to have big games for the Bucs.

Devin White is also out for the Bucs, although Stacey Dales claims it has nothing to do with an injury.
