Dr Rajpal Brar claims that Rangers defender Borna Barisic had a near-fatal injury that would have required him to miss at least three weeks of action.

Muscle strains can become well-known, but the Croatian international did not experience one, according to the injury expert.

On December 6, Philippe Clement gave an explanation, stating that he had a muscle issue that prevented him from making the matchday squad. However, he was soon back playing for the first team.

Physical therapist and sports scientist Brar spoke exclusively with Ibrox News about his circumstances. He said:

He was probably going to be away for more than three weeks if it was more serious than a simple strain.

So him returning to action right after for Rangers is very good news overall.

These can be very notorious at times and can lead to further complications but that is certainly not what happened with Barisic.

It will have pleased Clement to have his first-choice left-back available for play for a short period of time.

The 31-year-old has been involved in recent weeks, and the Belgian must have wanted as many first-team players as possible before the winter break.

He has played in the Europa League five times and made eleven appearances in the SPFL this season.
