Sadly, Boston’s star duo of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown will still be available despite Kristaps Porzingis’s left ankle sprain ruling him out. This season, Tatum has averaged 27.0 PPG, 8.4 RPG, and 4.4 APG. He has been playing extremely well. Tatum, along with his teammates, has been outstanding as they have led the Celtics to the best basketball record.

With a 35-10 record going into this game against the Clippers, the Celtics lead the Milwaukee Bucks, the second-seeded team in the Eastern Conference, by four games. The Clippers trail both the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Minnesota Timberwolves, who are tied for first place in the Western Conference, coming into this game just two games behind the top seed.

This matchup between two teams vying for a championship could serve as a sneak peek at the NBA Finals. Even though Porzingis’s absence is significant, Boston can win any game because Tatum is healthy.

Playing the second game of a back-to-back for the Clippers against Boston could be difficult on the road.
The Clippers and the Celtics are both riding high. Boston has won three straight games, most recently defeating the Miami Heat 143-110 on Thursday. The Celtics’ objective of winning the season series against their elite opponents will be spearheaded by newly named All-Star starter Jayson Tatum.

LA went 12-2 in December, with one of those losses coming against the Boston Celtics. The Clippers sustained that form, holding a 10-2 win-loss slate this month. They have been nearly unbeatable over the last one and a half months, but Boston has lost just once at home. It will be a mouthwatering clash on Saturday that basketball fans can’t wait to witness.
