Georgia vs. Missouri: The Positive, Negative, and Ugly

Reactions to Georgia being left out of College Football Playoff | 11alive.com

In order to keep their perfect record intact, Georgia defeated the Missouri Tigers at home on Saturday. Let’s examine the positive, negative, and ugly aspects of the game.

The Georgia Bulldogs didn’t have the most elegant victory, but they managed to hold onto their unbeaten streak into 2023. Cornerback Javon Bullard’s interception late in the fourth quarter sealed the victory for the Bulldogs, who won 30–21 in the end.
Against the Tigers on Saturday, quarterback Carson Beck completed 254 passes for 259 yards and two touchdowns. He might not have given his best effort.

Positive: A High Ranking Victory
With the season coming to an end, the rankings become increasingly significant with each passing game. The Bulldogs entered the game with zero wins in the rankings, but they won their first one against Missouri, and they have two more remaining against Ole Miss and Tennessee. Although Georgia failed to cover the point spread, they managed to defeat one of the stronger SEC teams this year by nine points, bringing them one step closer to winning the division.

Georgia will need to raise their red zone conversion percentage as the season progresses and ensure that they are scoring touchdowns when they have the chance.
