Now that the Chiefs are the best team in the world for the second year in a row, all 32 teams are concentrating on the 2025 Super Bowl, which will be played in New Orleans, Louisiana. How fitting would it be if the Falcons could make it out of the NFC and into the home of their bitterest opponents to try their hand at winning a Super Bowl?

Though it may seem unrealistic in the modern era, the NFC is still very competitive, and the Falcons are among the teams that could see a dramatic improvement in just one offseason if they can resolve the quarterback position. Trevor Sikkema has Atlanta trading for Justin Fields in the first postseason mock draft he created. The Bears receive a second and third round pick in exchange for the Harrison High School product. This enables the Falcons to hold firm at eight and select Dallas Turner of Alabama, the best pass rusher still available.

A select few teams, including the Falcons, will attempt to move up for one of the top quarterbacks in this draft by becoming more aggressive. However, this trade will be completed prior to draft weekend.

Should they already possess a quarterback option, Raheem Morris could provide his defense with a top-tier physical pass-rusher. Turner has the best speed and flexibility in this class, but he isn’t the polished prospect Will Anderson Jr. was when he first emerged last year.

Although it seems like a good deal to trade two third-round picks for a franchise quarterback, I don’t think that will be enough to acquire Justin Fields. Many teams are in dire need of a quarterback, and Fields offers the highest upside potential of any undrafted player. Although it’s a risk, if the top three quarterbacks are selected with the first three picks, the Falcons may not have much of an option.
