Here’s more about the newest members of the Bills coaching staff:

Ronald Curry

Curry, 44, has spent the last eight seasons with the Saints, first serving as an offensive assistant from 2016 to 2017 and then as the wide receivers coach from 2018 to 2020 before taking over as the quarterbacks coach in 2021–2023. Curry’s duties were expanded by the Saints to include passing game coordinator prior to the 2022 season.

Curry also spent two seasons in New Orleans (2017–18) as an assistant to Joe Brady, the offensive coordinator for the Buffalo Bills. In that span of time, Brady served as Sean Payton’s offensive assistant for both of those seasons, while Curry alternated between serving as the wide receivers coach and offensive assistant in 2017 and 2018.

Throughout his time in New Orleans, Curry had a penchant for developing offensive talent. He was the WR coach the season in which Michael Thomas set the NFL record for most catches in a single season (149).

When he moved over to quarterback’s coach, Curry helped mentor several QBs including Jameis Winston, Andy Dalton, Taysom Hill and Derek Carr. In 2021 when Winston suffered an injury midseason, Curry oversaw three different starting QBs the rest of the season (Hill, Trevor Siemian and Ian Book). The Saints finished the year 9-8.

Curry worked with Andy Dalton for the majority of the 2022 season, helping Dalton set a career-best in completion percentage (66.7%).

Prior to his NFL coaching experience, Curry was a well-known two sport athlete in Virginia. He was a high school All-American in football and basketball and went on to play collegiately in both sports at the University of North Carolina (1998-2001).

He was a four-year starter at UNC, setting the school record at the time in total career passing yards (4,987).

Curry went on to be drafted by the Oakland Raiders in the 2022 NFL Draft and transitioned to the wide receiver position. He recorded 2,347 yards and 13 touchdowns from 2002-08.

Curry began his NFL coaching career in 2014 as an offensive assistant with the San Francisco 49ers.

Jahmile Addae

Jahmile Addae has been named the Bills cornerbacks coach after spending the past two seasons as the secondary coach at the University of Miami. Addae played defensive back at West Virginia and was named to the All-Big East team twice.

Addae spent time as a graduate assistant at both West Virginia and Michigan before spending three seasons at the University of Cincinnati as the director of player development and subsequently the running backs coach. He spent the following five seasons at the University of Arizona an analyst and defensive backs coach.

In 2018, Addae was the University of Minnesota defensive backs coach before returning to West Virginia to work as a defensive secondary coach followed by a stint as the co-defensive coordinator/cornerbacks coach.

In 2021, Addae won a national championship with the University of Georgia as the defensive backs coach before heading to Miami in 2022.

Christian Taylor

Taylor will work as a quality control coach for defense. He was a quarterback for William and Mary. In 2008, he started working as a tight ends coach at his former school. In 2009, he became the quarterbacks coach.

Prior to joining the University of San Diego as the running backs coach and recruiting coordinator, Taylor worked as an offensive assistant at San Diego State and Michigan. After returning to USD as the wide receivers coach and subsequently the offensive coordinator, Taylor worked as the offensive coordinator for Illinois Wesleyan University for a year.
