Emotional: Former Buffalo Bills Star RB O.J Simpson Dies; Sends Final Message To The Club

In one of his last posts on social media, O.J. Simpson sent a message to Bills.

Simpson’s family revealed on X on Thursday that he passed away on Wednesday following a fight with cancer. He was seventy-six.

The note said, “Our father, Orenthal James Simpson, lost his fight with cancer on April 10th.” His kids and grandkids were all around him. In this period of change, his family kindly requests that you honor their requests for discretion and dignity.

Following his 2017 release from jail on a nine-year sentence for a number of felonies, including armed robbery and abduction, Simpson established a social media following. He blogged often videos of X discussing his opinions about the NFL, such as one from January in which he supported the Bills ahead of their playoff matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Simpson discussed his opinions on the first round of the NFL playoffs while sitting outside with a Buffalo Bills banner and flag in a video that was uploaded on January 14. He talked on the weather during the Chiefs’ victory against the Dolphins and expressed surprise when the Bills postponed their game against the Steelers because of a significant winter storm. Simpson remembered playing in a variety of weather situations while he was a member of the Bills.

“I played nine years in Buffalo, we never canceled a game,” Simpson said.
