A spokesman for the Ann Arbor Police Department, Chris Page, verified to The Michigan Daily that Robinson was a part of a single-vehicle collision that occurred in Ann Arbor on Monday at 3:05 a.m. Page said that toxicology findings are pending the prosecution’s allegations.

Page stated that on April 15, 24 at around 3:05 am, “Denard Robinson, 33, was arrested for OWI after being involved in a single vehicle crash at E. Eisenhower Parkway and S. State.” “Toxicology results are pending charges.”

This offseason, Robsinson is now the second employee from Michigan to be arrested for an OWI. Greg Scruggs, a recently appointed defensive line coach, on March 16 was taken into custody, and a few days after, he announced his resignation

A prominent character in Michigan football, Robinson was a standout quarterback for the Wolverines in the past. From 2009 to 2012, he was a member of the Wolverines and an All-American. He broke the record for the most running yards a quarterback has in a single season in 2012. 2022 saw him come back to Michigan as the associate director of player personnel.

The Michigan Daily contacted Michigan Athletics for comment, but they did not get back to them right away.

. What consequences this incident will have on Robinson are yet unknown.

Greg Scruggs, coach of Michigan’s defensive line, resigns following an OWI accusation.

Sherrone Moore, the football coach at Michigan, reports that Greg Scruggs, the defensive line coach, resigned on Thursday. The declaration follows his detention on Saturday for allegedly driving while inebriated.

Michigan coach Sherrone Moore looks contemplative.

Moore stated, “I have learned that Greg Scruggs has resigned from his position, effective immediately.” “Because this is a University concern, I am unable to speak further.”

Scruggs’ OWI is his second violation on record; he was previously arrested in 2011 on a DUI charge.

The Wolverines will need to start the hiring process over because Scruggs was only hired on March 6th.
