SO SAD: Joel Ward gets severely injured during training, coach says…

Joel Ward, the captain of Crystal Palace, will be absent.

After just over 30 minutes of the Eagles’ 2-2 tie with Manchester City, Ward was substituted out.

Joel Ward sustained an injury in Crystal Palace’s draw at Manchester City

Joel Ward, the captain of Crystal Palace, will be out for some time, but the defender’s absence will be compensated for by Ebere Eze’s impending return.

After little over 30 minutes of the Eagles’ 2-2 tie with Manchester City, Ward was substituted, and he will need to be replaced for Thursday’s Premier League matchup at home against Brighton.

Although Roy Hodgson, the boss, did not provide specifics, he did say at a press conference that Joel Ward, as I believe everyone knows, suffered an injury last weekend. We will be missing him for some time since he has had a scan. That presents a new risk for injuries.

While Eze, who made a cameo appearance in the 89th minute versus City to end a three-week absence, is fighting to get back into the starting lineup, eighteen-year-old David Ozoh shined off the bench and may earn the opportunity to continue in the starting lineup.

Ebere Eze is in contention to start against Brighton

“Those who have sustained injuries are healing well. Ebere Eze is developing quite nicely. Really, he’s at a turning point, and we will have to decide within the next few hours (on Wednesday).

A few younger players have emerged in the previous several weeks, which has given us a significant boost in fitness.

“They have also given us great hope and belief that the future is going to be bright for the club and the team when given the chance to get on the field, which has happened with the amount of injuries.”

“But, the near future is obviously very concerning, and we want to, if we can, get back to winning ways tomorrow night.”

Although Palace hasn’t won since November 4 and has only collected two of the past eighteen available points, goalkeeper Dean Henderson was happy to contribute a couple of crucial stops to help Palace get a point against City.

The 26-year-old is now excited to score three points when he takes the field for the first time in front of the home crowd at Selhurst Park.

“I’m thrilled to wear the Palace colors; it’s been a tough year for me. He said, “Thank you to all of the fans for your support,” on the official club website.

“The Etihad goalmouth is the only location to get sharp! Getting a couple of saves in there is fantastic. We’re at home now. We need to take the game head-on and give them (Brighton) what for.

We are aware of their strength as a team, of course, but the boys will be fully focused on winning the derby. I hope the mood will carry us through. Although the outcomes have not been easy, we must persevere and stand by one another.
