Callum Wilson, Miguel Almiron, Jamaal Lascelles, and Kieran Trippier were all connected to potential departures, and Bayern Munich made two bids for the player.

Newcastle United’s goal-allowing dilemma: An explanation

Why are Newcastle United giving up goals so frequently?
That’s the dilemma.
I’ve observed supporters of Newcastle asking the question—or is it questions?
Why am I giving up more goals this season than last? Newcastle has given up 37 goals in the 23 Premier League games they have played this season, as opposed to 33 in the 38 games they played in the previous season.

It’s fair to say, in my opinion, that any NUFC supporters who were calling for the dismissal of Newcastle’s goalkeeper due to his lack of skill “on the ball” ought to be hanging their heads in shame right now.
Though he may not be as skilled “on the ball” as many goalies, Nick Pope excels at keeping the ball out of the net. That’s what a goalie’s main responsibility is, or was when I was a kid.
