Report: Before the NFL Super Bowl 58, Travis Kelce’s speech had the Chiefs players in tears.

Before Super Bowl LVIII, tight end Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs allegedly made a “powerful” statement that moved teammates to tears.

“Unbelievable” was how others in the room characterized Kelce’s remarks, according to Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated. At the team’s hotel, Patrick Mahomes and Chris Jones also gave speeches.

Over the last three games, Kelce has amassed 23 catches for 262 yards and three touchdowns, continuing his scorching play during the Chiefs’ postseason push. Against the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship Game, he caught 11 catches for 116 yards and one score.

With 156 postseason receptions, the 34-year-old also established a record in that category.

Before Sunday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers, it has been an emotional week. No word on what Kelce said during the address. Earlier this week, Kelce acknowledged that practice had become more competitive.

“Things got a little bit chippy in practice, and I’m not going to lie or reveal who,” Kelce said to reporters on Thursday.

When 49ers and Chiefs played Four years ago, Kelce caught six catches for 43 yards and a score in the Super Bowl.
