Celtics’ Jaylen Brown Destroys Ref Who Ejected Him vs. Knicks

Against the New York Knicks, Boston Celtics player Jaylen Brown was ejected for the first time in his NBA career.

After challenging a call in the fourth quarter, Brown was given a technical penalty and was later removed after receiving a second technical foul when he went to the bench.

Brown remarked, “I wish I had gotten my money’s worth, to be honest, but I’m not sure.” “I had always imagined that my first professional ejection would include something a bit more thrilling. Perhaps a brawl of some kind, folks are folded up and fall to the ground—this isn’t an overly sentimental referee having a rough day. The thing that bothers me the most is that I ought to have received my money’s worth.

Crew head Mark Lindsay informed a pool reporter that Brown’s first technical was for “use of profanity toward a game official.” The second T was for “a wave-off directed at the official, which under the respect of the game guidelines is considered an overt gesture and an unsportsmanlike act.”

Brown remarked, “You could tell his emotions were involved.” wished to have a back-and-forth exchange. As I’m giving the referee my explanation, he calls the second tech from across the court, which is an obvious instance of someone abusing their position of authority to try to have someone removed from the game. I mistook it for bullshit.

The final score was 133-123 in favor of the Celtics over the Knicks. In 27 minutes, Brown scored 17 points, dished out four assists, and shot 7 of 13 from the field, 2 of 5 from beyond the arc, and 1 of 1 from the free throw line.
