49ers OL Jonathan Feliciano Says Eagles’ Jalen Carter Made Death Threats During Game

When the two teams faced up on December 3, 2023, during the regular season, San Francisco 49ers offensive tackle Jon Feliciano claimed on X that Philadelphia Eagles defensive lineman Jalen Carter threatened to kill him.

The preamble until that point started on an entirely different topic.
In the afternoon on Tuesday, Feliciano addressed a user on X that believed 49ers right tackle Colton McKivitz had failed to block Kansas City Chiefs defensive lineman Chris Jones during the Super Bowl LVIII overtime period on Sunday. Feliciano stood up for McKivitz, but he also hinted that teammate Spencer Buford might have overlooked his assignment during the Chiefs’ 25-22 defeat.

When Buford learned of Feliciano’s tweets, he became indignant at the comments. After that, Feliciano said he was drunk and should have handled the situation better before apologizing to Buford.

After learning about the incident, Carter asserted that Feliciano “spoke on” his late teammate from the University of Georgia, Devin Willock, who had very tragically in a vehicle accident in January 2023. That incident is said to have occurred during the 49ers’ 42-19 victory over the Eagles on the road in the game that was played on December 3.

In the early hours of the morning in Athens, Georgia, Willock was a passenger in one of two cars that were racing on the street. Following a collision with two power poles and multiple trees, the 2021 Ford Expedition carrying him and its driver, Chandler LeCroy, a recruiting analyst from Georgia, perished.

The other car belonged to Carter. On two misdemeanor counts of racing and careless driving, he entered a plea of not guilty.

As news of Feliciano’s purported comments spread, the 49ers guard provided his version of events.

He acknowledged mentioning Willock. Feliciano continued by alleging that he was responding to Carter’s purported threats to kill him and that the Eagle had further stated that he would never see his kids again. Feliciano went on to say that Carter continued to communicate with his pals and post pictures of his family on social media.

Then, Feliciano shared a snapshot that appeared to show Carter tagging him in an Instagram story with the 31-year-old 49er and his children (click the link to view the entire image). He added that he has informed the NFL about the situation.

Feliciano then said the following to close the loop on his end: Feliciano has been a member of the Oakland Raiders, Buffalo Bills, New York Giants, and 49ers for nine years, playing in 113 games with 61 starts. For the whole 49ers postseason run, he started.

Carter recently concluded his rookie season in the NFL, recording 33 tackles and six sacks while placing second in the Associated Press Defensive Rookie of the Year competition. Carter was chosen by Philadelphia as the ninth overall choice in the 2023 draft.
